After Adepticon 2018, even though we had one “interesting” game there 😉 , we decided to embark on our 2019 Adepticon project – Dark Mechanicum! Riffing off the Porphyrion Knight I made for Adepticon 2018, I wanted to make a full army of Dark Mechanicum in the same spirit of that conversion, but across the entire army. Our 13th battle report for DeepWars features the Ancients of Atalan vs. the Scaly Horde. The Atalans, chafing from their draw with the Scaly Horde in the battle over the wreckage of the Trafalgar, have enlisted Alahal the Immortals’ help in hunting down the Scaly Horde and making their way back to the Trafalgar and the lost relics within. The Atalans chance upon a Scaly Horde hunting party – and the battle ensues? Who will win? Watch and find out!
Hey all, I’ve been cataloging all my work on my DeepWars stuff and it occurs to me that I’ve put a lot of time and passion into this aspect of the hobby. I do truly love the aesthetic of the Abyssal Realms and the DeepWars and ShadowSea world, so I thought I’d take some time to get some really nice pictures of some of the work I’ve done. The planning for Adepticon 2018 Horus Heresy event was more than a year in the making for my doubles team partner Paul and I, and we had a great time putting the dream into reality for our Word Bearers & Malinax display board for the event. Having just come off of LVO 2017, and looking for our next project for 2017 / 2018, we landed on Word Bearers armies with House Malinax allies for our next big project. A lot of work went into the planning and execution over the course of the year. The project got underway in March…
Check out our latest battle report from the Abyssal Realms! In this battle report, we pit the Draconid Legion vs. the Axibalan Empire, in a jungle-river inspired custom terrain board. The Draconids were created ages ago by their Axibalan masters with dark magic. They were cast out of the Empire, and are hunted down by their former masters.
