These guys are pretty intensive but a ton of fun. I’ve also pretty much finished up my tutorial on how to create these guys, based on my work on this particular obliterator. Well, I’ve started painting my Nurgle Terminator Lord, and I’ve been hemming and hawing for several weeks now on how to paint him up. He’s not finished, but I think I’m in a place where I’m happy with where he’s at and I think the scheme is really going to work. He’s my first Nurgle Chaos Marine paint project, so he’s setting the tone for how the whole army is going to look. Remember this guy doesn’t have any arms because he was magnetized, as described here.
So these are the last guys I’ve had sitting on my painting table during the winter while I waited for the weather to warm up so I didn’t get the dreaded “fogging” on my clear coating spray. I’m happy to say I’ve finished painting up all my ripper swarms (all 9 of them) and I LOVE ‘EM! I actually don’t normally like putting together or painting units like these up, but I gotta say, seeing all these guys lining up makes me want to ensure they’re in my next bug list, just for extra-super-little-gribbly power!
Finally got my Tyranid trygons painted, phew! I’ve been working on assembling my Nurgle Chaos marines for the last 6 months, and these guys have been sitting on my painting bench for that amount of time, half-finished. Glad to say they’re finally done (well, all except for the clear-coat that is).
My Chapterhouse Studios Space Marine heads just arrived today – they’re going to be for my Nurgle-themed Raptors. Can’t wait for the other parts to get here.

I think they’ll look sufficiently Nurgly / Death Guard-esque to be convincing helmets for Nurgle Raptors.
