Kit-bashed Chaos Marine Nurgle Sorcerer out of random chaosy bits…

I’m in the process for getting ready for a big Apocalypse battle in October, and just rounding out the rest of my Nurgle force for depth and breadth of forces I can bring to bear, and got inspired to create a Nurgle sorcerer. I recently completed the ForgeWorld “Necrosius” miniature and loved it. I wanted to see if I could create something that looked good with just left-over bits I had laying around (and brother do I have a lot of Chaos bits laying around at this point). So I took up bits, hobby knife, and green stuff, and went to work. He’s not 100% done (there’s a few odds and ends I want to add to him), but he’s overall looking pretty good so far I think. Front picture. I took a regular chaos marine chest that had the chainmail tabbard (can you see the rust already?) and connected it to a pair of chaos marine legs, but not before lopping off his left leg and replacing it with this really cool digitigrade Chaos Possessed sprue leg. It turned out pretty cool I think. I added a touch of green stuff to make it look nurgly, as well as put a more pronounced / powered-armored “hoof” toe on it to make it look a little more like armor than a plain ol’ daemon hoof that is standard on the bit. The scythe is a banner pole from the Chaos Marine bit sprue but with a pewter scythe head (forgot where it came from) drilled out and placed on top. This dude is also packing a plasma pistol, something I don’t normally arm my guys with but thought it might be kinda fun.

More of a side view. Can see the leg detail a bit better here.

So yeah, this guy is a work in progress. I’m thinking of adding a bit more bling and some nurgly-bits to finish him up, but structurally and by and large he is there. Interested in your thoughts – leave your commentary and feedback, always welcome!
