LVO 2016

Hey everyone – back from LVO 2016 and boy did I take a crapton of pictures. I had a great time even though my plans for the trip had to get altered slightly (details inside). Nonetheless I had a blast and met old friends, made some new ones, saw and met some internet famous people and overall had a great time and am inspired to get there again next year. Lock & Load 2015 Recap

So I wasnt’ going to go to Lock & Load this year after LVO because I was thinking I was going to be doing a bunch of work travel, but it turns out I wasn’t traveling that weekend. My buddy John texted me and we got to thinking that LnL was possible this year, and about 3 weeks before the event I signed up. Lock & Load 2015 Preparations

I originally was going to skip Lock & Load this year as I figured I’d be too busy and traveling for work, but I decided with my buddy John at the last minute to go!  I busted out my Khador stuff and started painting a few odds and ends, just to have more stuff painted and ready to go for the event.  I’ve posted some pictures below to show my progress over the last few weeks in preparation for the event, check it out!

My Experience: Las Vegas Open 2015

I finally pulled the trigger and made the commitment about 6 months ago to go to a wargaming tournament and see the spectacle, and I wasn’t disappointed! I recently, this last weekend, had the opportunity to go to the Las Vegas Open (LVO), hosted by Frontline Gaming. What a spectacle and a show! A well run convention / tournament with all kinds of games to be seen. The event was largely dominated by 40k, but many other games were represented, such as Warmachine/Hordes, Ininity, Drop Zone Commander, Malifaux, and more. Warmachine – first battle report – Khador vs. Convergence

So today I played my first game of Warmachine and it was a hoot! i’m sure we got some of the rules wrong, but I had my good friend Matt walk me through a game of my Khador vs. his Convergence of Cyriss at 11 points a side. We had a great time. In the top of turn 3 he ended up getting a warcaster assassination on my ‘caster Sorcha.
